My name is Eric Shaver and I’m the District Manager of the Rimkus Human Factors Group.
I’m passionate about assisting companies design, develop, and deploy innovative technologies that balances the needs, wants, and desires of users with the strategic requirements of the organization. I bring more than 20 years of experience working as a consultant and Human Factors Lead for a medical device company to the medical technology industry.
My work has emphasized achieving an optimal fit between people, technology, and work systems to facilitate safety, performance, and satisfaction through the application of principles and methods from the discipline of human factors and ergonomics. A specific focus has centered on bridging the research-practice gap by synthesizing and disseminating the latest scientific findings about human capabilities and limitations to the design, development, and deployment of technology. My professional interests also include leadership development, team performance, organizational behavior, and new product development.
My educational background includes a Ph.D. in Ergonomics Psychology from North Carolina State University and a M.S. in Human Factors Psychology and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Idaho. I’m also a full member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
